Car Parts Delivered to Your Home

Advance Auto Parts reinvents customer service for the do-it-yourselfer by sending parts to your door...

If you have done any do-it-yourself car repairs, you’ve undoubtedly been there: You’re in the middle of a tough, greasy job when you suddenly realize you don’t have all the parts you need to complete it. But now your car is in pieces. What are you supposed to do? Well, you can call Advance Auto Parts, a major automotive aftermarket that has launched what it calls an industry first -- a home-delivery service and parts program called “DIY Home Delivery.” The concept is simple: Advance will deliver parts to customers when and where they need them most.

Of course, auto parts retailers, large and small, have been delivering parts to auto repair shops for decades. If you know the parts retailer well enough, they often will deliver them to your house. But what’s new is that a big auto parts chain like Advance is making it an official policy.

“We’re always listening to our customers,” says Advance Auto Parts CEO Darren Jackson, “and they needed us to bring convenient solutions to them in the moment, and that’s not always in-store. DIY Home Delivery is a way for us to serve our customers in a way that makes their life easier, and it just reinforces our promise that service really is our best part.”

According to Jackson, hundreds of customer stories pointed to the need for the program. Now that it has been instituted, Advance team members are on stand-by at local stores to provide quick, custom solutions, and in most cases, delivery within a few hours. Delivery is free for all orders over $100. You can log in to AdvanceAutoParts.com or call 877-238-2623 to find participating locations.
